Dr. Sarwat Shamsi is an Assistant Professor in the department of English at Mirza Ghalib College, Gaya, Bihar. She has an experience of teaching for over more than 16 years nationally & internationally. Her areas of expertise are Modern Literature, poems, non-fiction, drama and American literature. She has presented about 8 papers on different topics in the field of English Literature in numerous UGC sponsored seminars.
She was teaching in the English Department at University College, Nairiyah, University of Hafr Al Batin, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. She has served as a member of the Examination Board and Revisor at the University College, Nairiyah. She has been an active participant and organiser for various workshops, seminars, quiz competitions, extempore, debates and other academic events in the past, nationally and internationally.
She has always been a believer of creating a healthy teaching and learning environment by inculcating the enthusiasm and motivation into the students for achieving goals. She has keenly been involved into organising and leading various academic programmes and activities at the university. She is proficiently equipped and a tech savvy with respect to the day to day modern techniques and methods of teachings - offline as well as online, with power point presentations or using the electronic boards, language labs for listening and speaking courses for online teaching.
Dr. Shamsi is well versed in English, Urdu, Hindi and Arabic languages. She always has an excellent inter personal and intra personal relationships with her students, colleagues and people from all walks of life.
