Dr. Afsar Nasim is working as an assistant professor in the
department of Chemistry Mirza Ghalib College, Gaya for over a
period of nine years. He has completed M.Sc.(Chemistry) from
Magadh University, Bodh Gaya in the year 2002 and been
awarded Ph.D in the year 2017.
There are nine published research papers which he has been a
part of. The one written individually by him is Fermentation of
molasses to ethanol by Saccharomyces cerevisiae NCIM-2118
exposed to methyl carbamate. J.Chemtracks 21(1&2)
125-128,(2019), and the other eight are written in assistance
with numerous dignitaries. He has attended various seminars
which aid in understanding recent development in the field of
chemistry and science better. He feels such seminars give
exposure to new experiments in the concerning field. In addition
to this, he believes in quality teaching which help the students in
better achievements.
To be a good teacher, it is very important to have a healthy
student-teacher relationship. And this can only be achieved by
certain qualities in a teacher which he possesses very well. He is
dynamically enthusiastic in teaching as it can help students
concentrate better in the class. In addition to this, he has good
interaction skills and quality communication skills. This is
where his language proficiency in English, Hindi and Urdu
helps. Furthermore, he is very much flexible and patient with his
students. He has strong work ethic. And the most important of
all, he is a good listener and this quality helps him to know and
understand his students better.
