About Department
The Faculty of Commerce is one of the fantabulous centre of Mirza Ghalib College, Gaya. The department is giving excellent result since its inception. It was established in 1979 with the affiliation of intermediate of Commerce, this was the result of tireless efforts of then Principal Prof. Shakil Ahmad, Secretary Md. Qasim Ansari and Prof. Md. Habib. Whom we can say the pioneer of the Commerce department. The Commerce faculty got the affiliation of three years bachelor of Commerce in 1981 and Master degree in 2015. Now the department has six highly qualified faculty member. Prof.(Dr) Md. Nayeem Akhtar is the HOD and second senior most faculty is Prof. AH Jamal Mulick. Others faculty member are Dr.Md. Jalil Akhtar, Dr. Sarfarazul Haque, Dr. Pervez Wahab and Dr. Md. Saaduddin.
The 75% of Students of I.Com was Passed with 1st Division in 2019 exam, 97% have passed the examination with flying colour in B.Com session 17-19. The 98% of the M.Com students has passed with flying colour in the last 4th Semester exam.
The department is known for the imparting quality education to the more than three thousand five hundred students through high caliber trained and dedicated academician.
